Overview of Event Rules and Spectator Guidelines:

*Events will be played rain or shine unless the course closes or the head of the tournament chooses to cancel due to inclement conditions. The cost for each event will be paid up front, so there will be no refunds given.

*Tee-times for each event will be posted each week on the LCJGA webpage.  Please be out at the course at least 20 minutes prior to your tee time to check-in and be ready to tee off on time.  If you are not on time for your tee time you will be disqualified from the match on that day.

*All events will be conducted under USGA rules.

(The following webpage from the PGA has a PDF version of the Rules of Golf in a simplified form that is helpful to look at and be aware of for success on the course:  http://www.playgolfamerica.com/graphics/info_devo/rules_of_golf.pdf).

Local rules for some courses may also be in effect and will be provided at sites as needed.

*Golfers will not be permitted to use caddies or riding carts, but push or pull carts are acceptable and recommended for events. Yardage measuring devices, such as GPS and laser rangefinders are permitted, provided that they only measure yardage and nothing else.

*Spectators and/or parents are permitted and encouraged to follow golfers on the course, but must remain at least a 1/4 hole behind the player and cannot have contact with the golfers on the course, other than helping to spot balls.  Spectators and parents must stay in the rough and/or on cart paths and not go on fairways or greens, as only participants will be allowed on the course fairways and greens during event play.  Only participants in the match can make ruling requests, not spectators or parents.  If there is question regarding scoring or ruling, players are asked to play a provisional and bring question to scoring table.  All final rulings will be decided by the tournament director and/or the course professional.

*At the beginning of the round, players will exchange scorecards with someone in their group and will be responsible for their own score, in addition to the score of the person they traded scorecards with.  At the completion of each hole, golfers will be expected to write down scores so that they will have hole by hole scores that can be attested at the end of the round.

*At the conclusion of the round, players will be expected to get with members of their group to verify and sign scorecards before turning in scores to the official scorer.  Scorecards will not be considered as valid/official unless a scorer and attest signature are on the card when turning it in for playing round completion.  In order to earn points and credit for a match, an official signed and accurate scorecard must be turned in at the completion of the round to the tournament official.

*Not abiding by event rules and regulations may result in disqualification of the player and/or spectator from the event and/or future events.
