Licking County Junior Golf Association

Welcome to the LCJGA! We had a great 2024 summer tournament series that has come and gone and now look forward to the summer of 2025!The LCJGA provides the opportunity to play at some great courses in the Licking County area and to give junior boys and girls ages 10-18 the opportunity to compete and play golf during the summer. The LCJGA will resume play in June of 2025.  The upcoming season will consist of six events (four in June and two in July), with each being played at a golf course in or near Licking County that coordinates with some of the courses that will be played by middle school and high school teams in the Licking County League (L.C.L.) for golf matches (*see "Schedule" link above for a listing of 2025 course match dates). Each event will be a stroke play match following the USGA and Ohio High School Athletic rules.

For each event, participants are also provided a meal coupon to be used at the completion of and/or during their round.

LCJGA GOAL:

The Licking County Junior Golf Association is a great opportunity for junior golfers to get the chance to play competitive golf and develop skills necessary to be a better player. Taking part in the LCJGA is also an opportunity to help prepare for both middle school and high school golf on some of the same courses that will be played by Licking County League schools.

Information regarding the LCJGA, courses, tee times, and registration can be found on this league webpage ( http://lickingcountyjrgolf.wix.com/lcjga ).

Tee times for each event will be posted on the webpage by or before the Thursday prior to the event, so please go to the link labeled "Courses/Tee Times" to find your assigned tee time.

The LCJGA is open to all juniors who are between the ages of 10 and 18. The league is organized into three age divisions for both males and females to help foster competitiveness and better pace of play.

*See "Age Divisions & Guidelines" tab to the right of "Home" button at the top of the page for an overview of age divisions for the league along with rules and spectator guidelines.

ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING REGISTRATION AND EVENTS:

The LCJGA has been monitoring things and trying to keep up on the ever changing situation with Covid-19 and guidelines in place through state mandates.

Due to new guidelines regarding outdoor events, we will go forward with groups of two, three, or four participants for each playing group.  We are also asking golfers to keep their own scorecard and write down scores for each member in the group, while practicing social distancing if necessary.  Each golfer is recommended to have hand sanitizer on them or in their bag and to attempt to avoid unnecessary contact with other golfers while at the course.   Spectators will need to stay off of the fairways and keep on cart paths or the rough.  Spectators are also asked to practice any social distancing guidelines that are in place by the state while at the course.  It will be the courses discretion regarding golf carts and the number of people they are permitting per cart for spectators.  It will be advised that golfers get to course about 20-30 minutes prior to tee time to be ready for play, but practice social distancing while warming up and preparing if necessary.  There may be additional guidelines added for events.

The website with be updated with information as it becomes available. â€‹â€‹â€‹
